Standing in our garden of no flowers none have grown since that sad day, By Bobby Ferguson

Standing in our garden of no flowers
none have grown since that sad day,

One day your lips they smiled no more
my blue skies now are gray.

Tiny were your buttercups
they always made you smile,

Fragrant were the roses red
you'd stay there for a while.

Lavender was the scent of sleep
one rose took your heart,

A single one that grew each year
grows not ...now we're apart.

You always loved the lilac rose
Its bloom made your tears fall,

Of all the flowers in this world
you're favorite of them all.
